Test Validation - A Definition

On Target Staff is the first agency of its kind to obtain a qualified validation of its Medical Revenue Cycle Skills Evaluation Test. “Test validation” means a test used as a selection tool has been determined by a qualified authority to be valid for criteria, content and adverse impact and can be used as a predictor of job success.

Criterion Validity: A test is proven to be a valid predictor of overall job performance.
Content Validity: Knowledge of test questions is determined to be essential to the performance of the job.
Adverse Impact: A test is proven not to adversely impact selection on the basis of age, gender or ethnicity according to the 4/5ths Rule.
